Top HP Laptops (March 2010)

HP Pavilion DV6-2162NR 15.6-Inch Laptop: HP is known as one of the top mid-range laptop brands in the world and the new 15.6-inch HP Pavilion DV6-2162NR would be the perfect testament to that fact. Costing at just around $679 per unit (at the time of writing), this model is designed for laptop users with medium-high computing needs and would serve as a competent business or student laptop. It has a 2.26Ghz Intel Core i3-350 processor, 500GB for storage and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. The screen is of course a HD display and is backed by an Intel HD graphics processor. It is part of HP's Espresso collection.

HP Pavilion DV4-2161NR 14.1-Inch Laptop: This model is worth mentioning thanks to is very interesting design and decent specs. This model sports HP Digital Plaid finish on its exterior casing that is sure to make it stand out from the crowd. It has almost identical specs with the 2162NR model (the model above) except for the 2.13Ghz Intel Core i3-330M processor. The screen on this model has a higher resolution of 1280 x 800. It is currently selling at about $649 each.

HP TouchSmart TM2-1070US 12.1-Inch Laptop: For all tablet PC enthusiasts, you will have to take a look at the TM2-1070US. This 12.1-inch laptop may not be the most powerful laptop in the market (it has a 1.3Ghz Intel Core 2 SU7300 processor), it will prove to be more than enough for anyone who is looking for a fun laptop to run daily computing tasks. The touch screen was quite responsive and was a delight to use. The battery on this laptop can last close to 10 hours on one charge. Currently, it is priced at just around $878 per unit.

HP Pavilion DV7-3180US 17.3-Inch Laptop: For those who are looking for a powerful desktop replacement laptop model (and have a bigger budget), the 17.3-inch DV7-3180US may be just the laptop for you. It has a powerful Intel Core i7-720QM processor, a 640GB hard drive, 6GB of DDR3 RAM and the highlight of this model, a Blu-ray optical drive. It also has a NVIDIA GeForce GT230M processor and Bluetooth connectivity.
